So Donny's birthday is coming up and it is the first time that we've been together for his birthday. Of course, his last two birthdays he spent on a mission in New York City and then the year that he left...we weren't quite dating yet and I ended up giving him a tie right before he left and called it his birthday present.
I need ideas of fun things to do that would make a birthday fun and memorable! (and in the mean time, I hope Donny doesn't check this...just in case there are any surprises) Which birthdays have each of you loved in your life and why? (that made it sound like an essay question for class or something) I need some ideas to get me started for something special.

Birthday idea #1. Donny is so creative and artistic. Why don't you take him to the local ceramic place where you two can make a plate or platter or something like that together. They will fire it and you can have another date going back to pick it up.
Birthday idea #2. I was always a little jealous of other wives who said their husbands took them on surprise dates. They would say, dress warm, or bring your swimming suit, or other little clues. Then they would go on a date without any other information than that. So they surprised is part of the fun.
Birthday idea #3. The coupon book is always a big hit. You can do the normal backrub, breakfast in bed, stuff... or can have them be specific to Provo and BYU. Like...hike the Y, ice cream at the Creamery, a souvinier from the BYU bookstore, a ride up to Timp, etc. You know the places there better than I do...
Birthday idea #4. Do you guys get to the temple often? Maybe a birthday temple trip would be fun. You can do a picnic before/after in a special spot overlooking the temple, take sunday music, be dressed up nice...
Birthday idea #5. You can have a "D" day, where everything starts with his letter. Donuts for breakfast, go for a Drive, Drink d...d...d..something that starts with D. Watch a movie that starts with D, etc. etc. (This might be a very short date!) ;D
"D" day (isn't that something significsnt in history? I mean besides the day Donny was born... you could play dominos, eat dippin dots ice cream, dream of the future, go dancing, watch Dan in Real Life, drink Dr pepper, dart across the park with a kite, or how about a massage? (that doesn't start with D obviously)
What about renting a tandum bike and going for a ride?
Hey, I love the tandem bike idea. I love tandems because you get to go biking but you don't separate to do it, you can still talk and stuff. It's even better if you're on the back so you don't have to watch where you're going. That leaves your hands free to do all sorts of things...eat ice cream, tickle someone who can't tickle back, wave at people. The only thing better than a tandem bike is a bicycle rickshaw!
Aim, way to go on all the D things!
(Someone really needs to fix your blog so we can leave comments there. Someone meaning someone smarter than me, obviously.)
This is my favorite page layout ever! You did a great job putting together the color scheme. Looks fabulous!!
Hey I was reading through all of these idea's & the first thing that came top my mind was giving him a massage. You could start the day doing something fun like a picnic in the park, bike ride, if you guys like to bowl you could take him bowling. Sometimes thats better with a group, but I bet you guys would have a blast going to together. Another thing that came to mind is going paddel boating, or hitting the zoo. You could end the day by making him his favorite dinner, and following it up with a massage, candle light, relaxing music. There are a few more ideas for you, I hope that they help. By the way, your new blog page set up is really cute! I like it :)
