::Bridal Shower::

Yesterday my wonderful future sister-in-laws threw me a really fun bridal shower. I got to see some of my friends from high school, work and some relatives from Donny's side. We played games like designing wedding dresses out of toilet paper and everyone playing a blackout game trying to guess what gifts I would recieve. I was spoiled rotten by everyone giving some fun gifts everything from bath towels and mixing bowls to sugar-free edible massage lotion. We had so much fun! Thanks to everyone who put so much work into it! : )

(me being spoiled with all of my gifts combined to carry them out the door) :)

All of us laughing and having a good time as I began opening my gifts!

::It's Official::

Donny and I decided that it's about time that we set up our wedding registries (considering that my "friends" bridal shower is in 2 weeks). When we first got to Target we were so excited to get stuff that we were scanning EVERYTHING from sink plungers to Christmas ornaments. Of course there were some fun things in there...like our King size sleeping bag and Coleman tent! But the time flew by and before we knew it they were announcing that they were closing in 15 minutes. We decided to head back to the customer service desk to turn in our scanner when out of nowhere, it started making a beeping noise...a loud beeping noise. Donny and I were both laughing by the time we actually got to the front of the store as people gave us weird looks while trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. When we got to customer service they told us that they were brand new scanners...so of course, we broke the new scanner! It took three different employees to finally turn it off and after all of that...they said that they hope that all of our 171 items that we had scanned would actually show up on our registery...now that's reassuring! So, now we just wait and see...(if anyone is curious you can go onto target.com and enter my info and find our registery to see all of the cool things we found!)

::GO BACK TO ALASKA::

Last night was a first for both Donny and I...we ventured into the world of hockey, which we know nothing about. We were given the tickets by a neighbor who had season tickets but couldn't go to the game. So we witnessed an intense game of the Idaho Steelheads vs. the Alaska Aces. (which as a team, believe it or not, was sold on ebay in 2002)....who does that?

As we were walking into the game we looked at our tickets to see what section we were sitting in...104 (which is the level of the rink)...then the row...C...then the seats and realized...WE HAD THE BEST SEATS THERE! My seat literally split the box behind the two teams right at half rink (is that what they call it?...equivalent to the 50 yard line of a football field :) ). For the rest of the game we watched in facination as the puck slid at outrageous speeds back and forth across the ice. We saw 2 bloody noses, 2 hockey sticks get broken in half and a puck fly off the ice and into the crowd near the top of the arena. But my personal favorite was when a player stuck out his stick to steal the puck from another player and it got stuck in the wall! The only thing that made it funnier was watching the ref pull it out of the wall while the player hurried over to his team and got another stick! I think that only disappointment in the whole evening was not seeing a fight...I mean, they pushed each other around a lot but no major out breaks. Our Steelheads put up a good fight and we went into over time, and then a shoot out...yep, just like Mighty Ducks! And after it all...we lost by one. So, Aces...go back where you came from.
